Session Format
Ladder League - Random Doubles
Players are grouped onto courts, then play a full round robin with the other players on that court.
- This can be run as part of a multi-week ladder league, or as a standalone session often titled Round Robin Royale.
- Players remain on the same court for the whole session and essentially play with every other player on their court once.
- Games are not timed; each court manages its own games.
- Games are usually played to 15, win by 1, with 5 players on a court; to 12, win by 1, with 6 players; or to 10, win by 1, with 4 players.
- Because each court is a smaller group, players are generally much closer in playing level, making this format well suited to highly competitive games.
- PIRAT ratings are generally used to determine which court a player ends up on, except in multi-session ladder leagues where ladder position or division may be used instead.
